Amla Phyllanthus emblica

Amla, also known as Amalaki or Indian Gooseberry, is a small fruit-bearing tree that is indigenous to India.

The small, gooseberry-like fruits have a very sour taste and are a part of the Indian diet because of their ability to nourish health. These small-but-mighty fruits are hand-collected in India either by climbing the tree or shaking the branches to catch the bounty.

Amla is one of the three fruits that are used in the ayurvedic formula Triphala. The other two fruits are Haritaki and Bibhitaki.

We also use amla in lots of other Pukka creations; it's a shining star in Vitalise, Natural Vitamin C and Triphala Plus.

Enjoy this film to hear Sebatian Pole introduce Amla.
