Chitrak Plumbago zeylanica

Back

Chitrak, or 'wild leadwort' is a fast-growing evergreen shrub that is native to India, Sri Lanka, and south-east Asia. It produces very beautiful white and blue flowers and was traditionally combined with Ghee or lime juice in Ayurvedic therapies.

Chitrak can be translated as ‘the spotted one’ which is believed to refer to the spotted leopard who is expert at catching its prey, just as this plant is expert at chasing and catching illness and disease.

Its in our version of Mahanaryan oil, Active Oil.
